Your Orthodontists are Dr. Adekoyejo Ogunro and Alison Newlyn. All of our doctors are registered on GDC.

Dr Adekoyejo Ogunro

FDS RCS(Eng.); MSc(Lond.); MOrth RCSEd; Stat(1999)

Dr Ogunro attended Dental school in his native Nigeria and subsequently entered General Professional Training working as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he gained surgical experience in many complex cases in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. During this time he undertook the Membership Examination for the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDS RCS) in 1997. In 1999 completed the statutory exam and became fully registered with the General Dental council.

Following this Adekoyejo pursued his passion for straightening misaligned teeth and undertook considerable Orthodontic training at the Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas School of Medicine and Dentistry and The royal Alexandra Hospital for sick children in Brighton. In 2002 he gained a Masters (MSc) in Orthodontics and attained Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh a year later.

He is listed on the General Dental Council specialist list in Orthodontics and Oral Surgery.

His main interests are early treatment, functional, fixed and removable appliance mechanics and adult orthodontic treatment.

He is also an member of the British Orthodontic Society,
European Orthodontic Society, American Orthodontic Society and World Federation of Orthodontists

Dr Alison Newlyn

Dr Alison Newlyn qualified from King’s College Hospital, London in 1977 and holds the postgraduate Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is registered on the General Dental Council Specialist List in Orthodontics and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists.

She holds national appointments in orthodontics as a director and trustee of the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) and is national chairman of the BOS Community Group. She is a member of the Consultant Orthodontists Group.

In specialist orthodontic practice for over 20 years, Alison Newlyn is currently Assistant Clinical Director at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill where she specialises in the treatment of severe malocclusion, facial deformity, multidisciplinary and adult orthodontics. She is also a postgraduate dental trainer and active in the organisation of local dental and orthodontic postgraduate education.

Dr Newlyn is also a graduate of the Open University, with an honours degree in Art History.

Practice Manager
Jan has worked with us for four years now as our Practice Manager, she loves working within Orthodontics and has a friendly approach to patients and staff alike.
In her spare time she enjoys craft work and dancing.

Dilhani Silva

Group Practice Manager

As a former dental nurse I understand the practice from top to bottom. Now I am involved in all areas of practice administration which includes health and safely, clinical governance, human resource management and marketing. I love being involved in patient care and helping keep patients healthy and happy. The best part of my job is seeing how orthodontics can improve a person’s self-esteem and boost their confidence.

Away from the practice, I enjoy travelling, reading and spending time with my friends and family.

I qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and by that time my passion in dentistry had grown, because of this I enrolled on the Orthodontic Therapist course at Warwick university qualifying as a Orthodontic Therapist in 2016.

I am passionate about improving people’s smiles and through this, changing their lives. Happy patients make my day. My days are filled with lovely patients at Orthodonticlinic and amazing staff.

In my free time I love shopping, traveling and spending time with my friends.

As soon as I left school I joined Orthoclinic as a trainee dental nurse.
Receiving my dental nursing qualification in 2017 was a great achievement for me.
Seeing patients smiles once braces are off makes my day.
I love my job and don’t see myself doing anything else rather than dentistry right now. In my free time I enjoy singing and online shopping.

Sharon has been a Dental Nurse for many years qualifying in the 70’s, she has vast experience within her field and a valued member of the Team.
Outside of work she likes to run-a lot! and she also loves Yoga.

Receptionist
Rhona was a nurse for 28 years before becoming our receptionist, her knowledge has been very helpful to the patients she really enjoys interacting with the patients.
Out of work Rhona loves to go on country walks and swimming to keep fit.

Abbie has been our receptionist for four years and has a very kind and willing spirit. She is extremely helpful to the patients when making appointments and taking calls. She is always ready to help.
Outside of work Abbie loves the gym, movies and going out.
